Abstract. The Commission has designated Cuma rathkii Krøyer, 1841 as the type species of the cumacean genus Diastylis Say, 1818, replacing D. arenarius Say, 1818, the original type species. The original material of D. arenarius is lost and the taxon is not identifiable from its description. [details]
