Editor's comment The Diastoporidae is based upon a Jurassic fossil with no preserved gonozooid. Without any detailed revision, there seems to be some overlap in the Recent species assigned to the Diastoporidae and the Plagioeciidae. It has been decided to merge these families in the WoRMS database.  [details]
