Diagnosis Test broadly ovate, chambers one-half coil in length and sigmoiline in arrangement in the somewhat inflated biconvex early stage, later planispiral and strongly compressed, with somewhat shorter but much broader chambers, final whorl commonly has three chambers, chambers with floors; wall calcareous, imperforate, porcelaneous, surface may have fine longitudinal striae; aperture at the end of the final chamber, cribrate.
