Distribution Spiroloculina perforata is common in the Eocene of Europe and does not appear to occur in the recent. [details]
Taxonomic remark Venec-Peyre (2005) attributed authorship to Deshayes, 1828 BUT that author wrongly described d'Orbigny's modele no. 92 as the type of S. perforata, but this was an error in d'Orbigny's original 1826 work and it is S. depressa. The first description occurred in Guérin-Méneville (1829-1844). [details]
