Nomenclature Email from Karl Wittmann to Jan Mees dd 2/4/2023: the original name is Amblyops tenuicauda W.M. Tattersall, 1911, not A. tenuicaudus. The original spelling ought to be conserved. Amblyops tenuicaudus is an incorrect subsequent spelling, because ‘cauda’ is a Latin noun rather than an adjective. [details]
Taxonomy Seems to belong to a different genus than Amblyops. A definitive conclusion will require future study. [details]
