Etymology The specific epithet scabra (masculine: scaber) is a Latin adjective meaning 'rough' or 'scabrous', and refers to the epithelium of the species, described as ''scabrous, appears dull gray under low magnification'' (Hartman & Fauchald, 1971: 117). [details]
