Spelling The spelling Myxicola "sarsi" is a subsequent misspelling of no nomenclatural or taxonomic significance. The original Kröyer spelling, and thus the correct spelling, is as Myxicola sarsii . Deliberate or accidental variation in usage between single and double i personal name genitive epithets is common in the 19th century. [details]
