Etymology The species is named guillei in honour of Dr. Alain Guille (b. 1937 - d. 4 June 2001), French marine biologist, benthologist and echinoderm specialist, who worked in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, and was Director of the Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls-sur-Mer, France: ''L'espéce est très amicalement dédiée à M. Alain Guille'' (Laubier & Ramos, 1974: 480, footnote). [details]
