Taxonomy The name Ulosa stuposa is based on Spongia stuposa Esper, 1794, a junior primary homonym of Spongia stuposa Ellis & Solander, 1786 (now Stelligera stuposa). A junior primary homonym is permanently unavailable (art. 57.2 of the Code) , which means that Ulosa stuposa must be renamed. The junior synonym Ulosa digitata (Schmidt, 1866 as Chalina) is available to. We will await formal publication of this replacement name. [details]
