Remark The lectotype designation of Microciona ambigua made by van Soest, 2002 (p. 591 and fig. 10) is wrong. The holotype described by Bowerbank was attached to a bivalve shell and is the specimen indicated as paralectotype by van Soest. Since there is no doubt from Bowerbank's description what the holotype comprised the lectotype and paralectotype indications of van Soest are illegal and void. [details]
