Syntype BMNH 1882.4.27.4, geounit Celtic Seas [details]
Syntype BMNH 1885.12.22.1 [details]
From editor or global species database
Type material Rützler (2002) names the slide BMNH 1882.4.27.4 labeled 'from type' as the holotype, but in view of the presence of a fragment BMNH 1885.12.22.1 with label 'pres. by Dr Millar, cf. slide in collection' it is quite possible that both belong to the same original specimen. The holotype designation by Rützler is not'valid'as he should indicated the slide as lectotype, not holotype. We should await further close comparison between fragment and slide to see whether any definite conclusion can be drawn. [details]
