Taxonomy This species was treated as a senior synonym of Microgloma turnerae Sanders & Allen, 1973 by Ockelmann & Warén (1998). This view was later rebutted (Appolloni et al., 2018) based on the type material in MRR, Rome, so that records cited in Ockelmann & Warén (1998) under tumidula should go to turnerae [details]
