Taxonomic remark  The taxonomical status of this species always has been problematic: Karling (1947: p. 48) already states that the placement within Gnathorhynchus is uncertain. However, he adds that it will not be difficult to recognize the species. Karling (1974, p. 41) states : "Imperfectly known, taxonomic delimination against G. conocaudatus uncertain. Both Karling (1992) and Ax (2008) consider it's synonymy with G. conocaudatus probable. [details]
