Nomenclature A lot of authors (e.g. Chevreux & Fage, 1925; Schellenberg, 1942 and Lincoln, 1979) treated Aora gracilis as Aora typica. The latter is a species of the southern hemisphere (Myers & Costello, 1984).
In ERMS: A. gracilis is often misnamed A. typica Kroyer, 1845 in N.Europe [details]
