Type locality Locality unknown, although Gmelin apparently used Schröter's "Seeschlange" (1783: 569, pl.VI fig.18) for his description, and this worm was found in an Eastindian Balanus tintinnabulum. The taxon tintinnabulum, however, has a long history of being ship transported. [details]
