Taxonomy Questionably attributed to Sclerostyla ctenactis (Mörch, 1863), see Mörch (1863: 450) and ten Hove (1973 :12), but also questionably associated by Mörch (p.406) with Spirobranchus dendropoma Mörch, 1863 . [details]
Type locality Locality unknown, although Gmelin apparently used Schröter's "Seeschlange" (1783: 569, pl.VI fig.18) for his description, and this worm was found in an Eastindian Balanus tintinnabulum. The taxon tintinnabulum, however, has a long history of being ship transported. [details]
