Diagnosis Test attached, expanded basal area containing ramifying passages that converge to a central cavity, or may grow free from a bulbous early portion, later stage may branch dichotomously, occasionally more than o e tubular portion may arise from a single basal expansion; wall fragile, of fine sand and sponge spicules that are oriented parallel to the sides of the tube and agglutinated on an organic base; apertures are simple terminal openings on the slightly constricted ends of the branches and may be bordered by projecting spicules.
