[1. This Note contains a list of 26 species of Polychaeta, identified after the study of 250 samples; 10 of these species had already been cited by other authors, and their existence is thus confirmed, while 16 others - and 2 uncited genera - are new for the Romanian fauna (the species marked by x on the list). Eleven species have not yet been found; they are probably littoral species, and the studies have mainly focused on the abyssal fauna.
2. The family Nereidae is described in more detail, 5 species being amply illustrated (see Plates I-III); a dichotomous key is also given.
3. At the present stage of research, it can be stated that the fauna of Polychaeta is represented by 37 species, some of which have a fairly large distribution area. We must add 3 genera, whose species could not be specified, due to lack of material and bibliography.
4. Some considerations on the economic importance of the group complete the Note.]
