Begins: "In the course of the examination of several collections of Polychaeta from South Africa, submitted to me by Prof. T. A. Stephenson of the University of Capetown in connection with his work on an ecological survey of the marine fauna of South Africa, I have met with several new records for this area. These are (Family Chaetopteridae) Mesochaetopterus minutus Ports, Isipingo Beach, Durban; (Family Cirratulidae) Dodecaceria fistulicola Ehlers, Hotel Rocks, Port Nolloth, St. James, and Glencairn; (Family Serpulidae ) Protula bispiralis (Savigny), St. James ; and (Family Sabellidae) Potamilla ehlersi Gravier, Isipingo Beach, Durban. There is also another small Sabellid, of which the description follows : Genus Oridia Rioja. Oridia capensis, sp. n."
