Synonymy Author justification: "Streptosyllis templadoi San Martin 1984, from the western Mediterranean and the Canary islands, also has the characters of Streptospinigera (San Martin 2003) [...] This species differs from all others of the genus by having dorsal simple and compound chaetae from chaetiger 7 with a transparent hood." [details]
