Type locality Type locality of Rhynchonella cornea is noted as off Cape St. Vincent, 57.5 fathoms, Talisman expedition. The BrachNet page for Hispanirhynchia notes that this is likely erroneous, with the Type locality more likely being the first record of R. cornea by the Talisman, west of Mogador (today Essaouira, Morocco).
