Taxonomic remark This genus was first described by Rang (1827) under the French name Ocyroé which is unavailable as scientific name. Ocyroé Rang is a junior homonym of Ocyroe Péron & Lesueur, 1810, and Mayer (1912) established the replacement by Ocyropsis. [details]
