Five species of
Acetabulastoma gen. n. are described:
А. littorale littorale sр. n., subsp. n.— parasite of
Gammarus oceanicus in the littoral zone of the East Murman Coast;
А. littorale robustum subsp. n.— parastte of
Gammarus setosa in the lottoral(sic) zone of the East Murman Coast and in the Cross Вау of the Bering Sea;
А. acticum sp. n.— раrаsitе of
Gammarus wilkitzii in the Arctic basin;
А. longum sр. n.— parasite of
Аmphitoe djakonovi in the Providence Вау of the Bering Sea;
А. kurileuse sp. n. from the littoral zone of the Urup Island and
А. rhomboideum sр. n. from the Posjet Вау of the Sea of Japan. Hosts of the two latter species were not found. Ectoparasites are localized оn the ventral side or in the incubation сhаmЬегs of hosts, have sucker-like mouth; when feeding they pierce the host's integuments with their stylet-like mandibles; eggs are laid оп branchial vesicles of Amphipoda; parasites appear to spread exclusively or mainly in а contact way.
