Taxonomy This taxon was originally established as a division of Tectibranchiata including the genera Pleurobranchus and Umbrella, and has been consistently used with this sense. It is now demonstrated to be polyphyletic, so that Umbraculida and Pleurobranchomorpha are treated as separate taxa. [details]
