Taxonomic remark Müller's work is in two volumes ("Voluminis primi" and "Voluminis alterum"). The first volume consists of two parts, "Pars prima", published in 1773, and "Pars Altera", published in 1774. The second volume was published in 1774.The reference to Nais serpentina is made in the second part of the first volume, so in 1774 not in 1773 as mentioned in Sperber (1948). The latter author is moreover at the origin of this confusion for several other species described in Müller (1774) and not 1773 . [details]
