Candelabrum cocksii
Description Candelabrum cocksii (Vigurs, 1849) (Anthomedusae, Candelabriidae) from Brittany, size about 12 cm. This is one of the very large hydropolyps. It lives attached underneath boulders at the low water level. The spherical bodies are sporosac containing the gametes. This species produces thus no medusa.
