Notes Additional information (en): This feature has an elongated and curved shape. It is interpreted as resulting from a rifting of the proto Kyushu-Palau Ridge. All undersea features around the Kyushu-Palau Ridge are named after stars and planets. The single position is that of the shallowest point of the feature. Minimum depth (m): 3872. Maximum depth (m): 5877. Total relief (m): 2005. Dimension/size: 30 km × 40 km.

GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1994. History: Named from its geographical location, between Tennosei Seamount and Kaiosei Seamount. "Tenkai" is a blend word of "Tennosei" and "Kaiosei". "Tennosei" and "Kaiosei" mean Uranus and Neptune in Japanese, respectively.
