Notes Additional information (en): This feature has a roughly conical shape. All undersea features around the Kyushu-Palau Ridge are named after stars and planets. Minimum depth (m): 3745. Maximum depth (m): 5272. Total relief (m): 1527. Dimension/size: 5 km × 5 km.

GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1997. History: Named from its geographical location, to the southwest of Kensakiboshi Seamount. "Kensakiboshi" is one of the Japanese dialect names that means the Big Dipper. "Nansei" stands for southwest in Japanese.
