GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): "Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel ""Takuyo"". Year of discovery: 1993. History: Named from the Japanese traditional event ""Shichigosan"" (""Shichi"", ""go"" and ""san"" are the Japanese for seven, five and three, respectively), held in early winter to celebrate the growth of children. This event concerns girls aged three and seven, and boys aged five, hence the name of this event literally specifying the celebrated ages."
