Notes Additional information (en): This feature has a sinuous shape. It has been mentioned in many scientific papers, publications and studies on the Brazilian continental margin, such as Viana et al (2002), Schereiner et al (2008), and Almeida & Kowsmann (2014). Minimum depth (m): 98. Maximum depth (m): 1637. Total relief (m): 1539. Dimension/size: ~ 34 km long and 1 to 4.5 km wide.    
GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-34. Proposer: Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation (DHN), Brazil. History: 2020.    
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Brazilian survey vessel "Almirante Câmara". Year of discovery: 1981. History: Named from the Brazilian Navy oceanographic vessel "Almirante Câmara" that discovered this feature. The vessel name is a tribute to Admiral Antônio Alves Câmara Júnior (1891-1958), who was an important promoter of Brazilian hydrography.
