GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1985. History: Named from its geographical position as this feature is located SW of the nearby Kaitoku Seamounts. ‘’Oki’’ means ‘’off’’ in Japanese.
