GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Philippines survey vessel "Hydrographer Presbitero". Year of discovery: 2010. History: Named from the kamansi tree (artocarpus camansi blanco). Also known as breadnut, the kamansi is an evergreen tree known for its fruit where the immature pulp and seeds are cooked as vegetable. It is a large tree, usually growing up to 10 to 15 meters in height.
