GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese research vessel "Haiyangdizhi Sihao". Year of discovery: 1999. History: Named from the nearby Chenhang Island (Chenghang Dao, in Chinese). This island is part of the Xisha Islands (Xisha Qundao, in Chinese), to the South of which the feature is located.
