GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-34.3. Proposer: China Geological Survey. History: 2021.     
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese research vessel "Haiyangdizhi Sihao". Year of discovery: 1999. History: Named from the nearby Guangya Bank (Guangya Tan in Chinese). This bank, named by the China Committee on Geographical Names in 1983, is within the Nansha Islands (Nansha Qundao), to the West of which the feature is located.
