GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Takuyo". Year of discovery: 1995. History: The Godzilla Megamullion science team gave 14 names for the individualtopographic elements of the Godzilla Megamullion, such as "West ArmRidge", imitating the body parts of Godzilla. Since this feature is a conicalbathymetric high in the northern part, i.e., the top part, of the GodzillaMegamullion, the science team gave it the name "Head Peak". |
