GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: National Hydrographic Centre (NHC), Malaysia. Year of discovery: 2018. History: Named from the Kimaragang tribe, one of the Dusun tribe in Sabah, Malaysia. They are among the oldest from the original inhabitants of Sabah. Formerly, the Kimaragang had only animist beliefs. However, nowadays, most of them are Christians.
