GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Chinese research vessel "Haiyang Sihao". Year of discovery: 1999. History: "Zhao Jun" means "shine on you" in Chinese and is taken from the poetic lines “Ci Shi Xiang Wang Bu Xiang Wen, Yuan Zhu Yue Hua Liu Zhao Jun”. These lines belong to the poem book "A Moonlit Night On The Spring River", from the famous poet Zhang Ruoxu during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).
