GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: French research vessel "L'Atalante". Year of discovery: 1999. History: Named after Robert Keble (1884-1963), a respected geologist and palaeontologist who worked for the Department of Mines, the Geological Survey Museum and the National Museum of Victoria State, Australia.
