GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-36. Proposer: New Zealand Geographic Board (NZGB). History: 2023.     
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: New Zealand research vessel "Arrow". Year of discovery: 1984. History: Named from its geographical location as this feature is near the southwest edge of Challenger Plateau. The latter plateau was itself named after the HMS "Challenger", which was used to take soundings and samples of the seabed on the plateau in 1874.
