Notes Additional information (en): This feature has a nearly conical and oval shape. It is part of the existing Gengo Seamounts, as well as Kan-en Seamount that was named after a Japanese era. "Gengo" means a period of time in Japanese history. Minimum depth (m): 1270. Maximum depth (m): 2

GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese survey vessel "Shoyo". Year of discovery: 2002. History: Named in association with the nearby Kan-en Seamount. "Hokuto" means 'northeast' in Japanese.
