Sampling campaigns are organised two times a year, one in spring and one in autumn on a number of stations spread over the Belgian Continental Shelf. The macrobenthos is sampled with a Van Veen grab with a sampling surface of 0.1m². After fixation the samples are sieved on a 1 mm sieve and sorted in the lab, identified, counted and wheighed. The used parameters are density, species richness and diversity.
