Conference on Public Understanding of the Marine Environment

Location: The Resource Centre, London
Event Type: Workshop
Event Date: 2005-01-18

Event Description:
The aim of this conference is to bring together those involved in raising [public] awareness of the UK's marine environment to consider what we need to do to get our messages across more effectively. The programme consists of a series of short presentations giving examples of work related to key themes, followed by workshops to collate and develop ideas. Time for viewing exhibitions and networking with other participants is also built into the day. The conference is funded by The Wildlife Trusts and English Nature (through Defra's Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund). There is no fee for participation, but places are restricted and offered on a 'first come, first served' basis.
