Change in Aquatic Ecosystems: Natural & Human Influences

Event Description:
The conference will focus on changes in aquatic systems and their potential for disrupting ecosystem structure and functioning. The following themes will be introduced by international speakers:

Effects of climate change on ecosystem structure and functioning
Ecosystem change resulting from habitat modification or introduction
Restoring damaged ecosystems
Mechanisms of invasion and impacts of non-native species
Damage and recovery from resource exploitation

Programme and registration for 'Change in Aquatic Ecosystems' now available

A draft programme for the conference 'Change in Aquatic Ecosystems: Natural and Human Influences' and registration details can now be accessed on Registration at a reduced rate is available until 30 March.

This is a MarBEF supported event. Each partner of MarBEF is allowed to put the costs of fee, travel and subsistence of 1 participant up to a maximum of 1,000 Euro on their MarBEF account.

Chris Reid (SAHFOS) will give the Leslie Cooper (public) Memorial Lecture on the evening of 4 July
