2007 ICES Annual Science Conference

Event Description:
This year’s ASC promises to provide outstanding main papers from world renowned researchers presented in 18 science theme sessions on topics which include the ecosystem approach to management with a special focus on the Baltic Sea, structure and dynamics of the benthos in ICES waters, and marine biodiversity from a fish and fisheries perspective. The ASC will address some of the most challenging issues of today’s science needed for a better management of our seas tomorrow.

o.a. the Responsive Mode Project MarFISH is organising a theme session on Marine biodiversity: A fish and fisheries perspective
Conveners are: Jim Ellis (UK), Remment ter Hofstede (the Netherlands), and Henn Ojaveer (Estonia)

Deadline submission of abstracts for papers en posters is 27 April 2007.

This conference is supported by MarBEF, which means that maximally two participants per MarBEF member are allowed to put the costs of Travel, subsistence and fee upto a maximum of 1000 € p.p. on their MarBEF account.
