MarBEF Theme 1 Analytical Workshop: Modelling key aspects of marine biodiversity

Location: Plymouth (UK)
Event Type: Workshop
Event Date: 2007-08-13
End Date: 2007-08-16

Event Description:
Pre-registration and expressions of interest are requested for an analytical workshop bringing together those with interests and expertise in various aspects of modelling to work on the data within the Macroben database. This workshop will build on previous work within MarBEF (particularly the Oslo and Crete workshops within Theme 1) with an emphasis on the use of statistical models to describe and understand spatio-temporal patterns, and on linking those patterns to large-scale drivers and processes through the use of ecosystem models.

This workshop will run alongside, and participants will be asked to contribute to, the Theme 3 workshop “Ecological data to quantify goods and services” (fulfilling a MarBEF objective to integrate across themes).
Please note that the United Kingdom National Fireworks Competition takes place outside the MBA on the nights of the 14th and 15th of August.
