MarBEF Short training course : Fluorescent in situ hybridization for the study of aquatic microbes

Event Description:
The objectives of the course are:

(1) to assess and improve the quality of data obtained for the detection and quantification of microbial plankton using FISH
(2) to compare experiences and discuss problems encountered
(3) to demonstrate new tools associated to FISH.

The course will include talks, practicals and demonstrations as well as round tables on the problems encountered by researchers using FISH to monitor aquatic microbes' biodiversity.

A registration fee of 100 euros (students) or 200 euros (non students) is required (wich includes lunches, a social dinner, coffee breaks and local organization. The fee does not include accommodation and evening dinners. For information, accommodation will be proposed at the “Grand Hotel” for 7,5 and 25 euros per room per night for students and non student participants respectively.

Please fill in the application form and save the whole file on your PC as a Word file renaming it with your surname (e.g. smith.doc). Then send it as attachement by e-mail to simon@sb-roscoff.fr.

Applications must arrive not later than 20th January
Acceptance will be notified within 4th February.
