3rd International student conference on Biodiversity and Functioning of Aquatic Ecosystems in the Baltic Sea Region

Location: Klaipeda (Lithuania)
Event Type: Meeting
Event Date: 2008-10-08
End Date: 2008-10-10

Event Description:
Planning Institute of Klaipeda University (, Nordic Marine Academy and MarBEF would like to invite students of the Baltic Sea region to take part in an international conference.

The objective of the Conference is to bring together young researchers from all Baltic countries with different scientific topics but with one common interest – biodiversity and functioning of aquatic ecosystems in the Baltic Sea region. This multidisciplinary conference will cover various aspects of marine environmental research: from molecular ecology of aquatic organisms, biodiversity and functioning of plankton and benthos communities to modeling of the ecosystem processes. Also socio-economic and coastal zone management studies are welcome. We hope that this forum will further stimulate the mobility and research cooperation of young scientists in our region.
