ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting

Location: Nice (France)
Event Type: Meeting
Event Date: 2009-01-25
End Date: 2009-01-30

Event Description:
The biennial ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting, an international gathering of more than 2000 aquatic scientists, will be held at the Acropolis in Nice, France next January 2009. For more information a website will be opened soon on http://www.aslo.org/meetings/aslomeetings.html

The Planning Committee invites proposals from members of ASLO, all interested scientists in the aquatic sciences and leaders of major programs in this area for sessions of interest to members of ASLO. The Aquatic Sciences meeting is an important venue for scientific exchange across broad marine-science disciplines, including physical, biological, chemical, and geological oceanography, all branches of limnology, hydrology, and multidisciplinary topics ranging from evolution to climate change. We also welcome proposals for topical sessions on subjects that reflect new and ongoing research on watersheds, the global ocean, and society, including science education, outreach, and [public] policy.

Session Proposals are due April 15, 2008. Please submit session proposals on line:
http://www.aslo.org/forms/nice2009.html

We also encourage town-hall and other group meetings in rooms at the Convention Center, primarily during the two hour lunch break. Request forms will be available with the Call for Abstracts.

There is also space available at the Convention Center for exhibition booths; for further information ask business@aslo.org

If you have questions about the science program, please contact the meeting co-chairs.

This event is endorsed by MarBEF. MarBEF members are allowed to put the costs for the participation to the ASLO meeting for maximally 2 persons and per person maximally 750 Euro on their MarBEF account.
