Event Description:
Oceans Past - Multidisciplinary Perspectives on the History of Marine Animal Populations.

HMAP Conference

Past Oceans is a global conference dedicated to the history of the oceans and marine life. A call for papers will be issued in the autumn of 2004. The conference format will be an open science forum where researchers from all relevant disciplines are welcome, both from the natural sciences and the humanities. The conference will hear a large number of scientific papers in addition to discussing in open sessions what we know, do not know and will never know about past oceans, and how we can improve marine historical research on the global scale.

MarBEF sponsors this conference. Each MarBEF member (institute) is allowed to book the Travel and Subsistence costs of 1 participant on their MarBEF account. Please keep in mind that the institute should not spend more than 20 % of their T&S budget to external activities.

Paper submission allowed till the end of March.
