Abstract
    30 Species from the North Sea, the Baltic, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea are treated. 11 Species are new to science. The genus Proxenetes is classified in 5 subgenera. A new phylogenetic system of the subfamily Trigonostominae is discussed.
