Abstract
As part of extensive biological and chemical investigations in the Ems estuary a survey of the nematode fauna has been carried out. Altogether 121 different species were isolated from the tidal flats, the bottoms of the rivers Ems and Westerwoldsche A and as epifauna from some higher plants. The following species are new to science: Aegialoalaimus setosa, Eleutherolaimus amasi, Paracanthonchus sabulicolus and Trefusia multipapillatum . A new name, Paralinhomoeus flevensis , is proposed for Paralinhomoeus tenuicaudatus Stekhoven 1935. 3 species could not be identified and 1 of these, Paralinhomoeus sp., is probably a new one, though lack of sufficient specimens prevented presentation as a new species.
